euROBIN, announces its first Open Call for Collaborative Projects. The call allows for innovative organizations to obtain up to €60,000 in funding to validate and demonstrate AI and robotics technologies.
The chosen projects will benefit from an abundance of resources — including the European Robotics Code and Data Repository (EuroCore). It provides various tools, datasets and software frameworks for creating and testing robotics solutions.
Entry Requirements: applicants should be a single legal entity – i.e. company, research organisation or academic institution – registered in the EU or associated countries. Proposed projects should target areas of major research need in robotics—for example:
- Perception methods for the realization of complex manipulation tasks, or for the navigation in either domestic environments or in outdoor urban scenarios.
- Software modules that extend the range of functionalities of robots to conduct daily life tasks and facilitate interaction with human users.
- Novel mechanisms that improve the dexterity and reliability of robots, or novel robot platforms whose features and capabilities may be of particular interest in some application domains.
- Simulation tools combined with advanced Artificial Intelligence techniques that have the potential to speed up the development of general robot skills.
The first Open Call application period opens on 20 November 2024 and closes on 19 February 2025. More details and how to apply for proposals are featured on the euROBIN website, as well as through the application portal: https://eurobin-network.fundingbox.com/
